Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport—global distribution systems partners—have renewed multi-year agreements with Air India, which it said on Monday has increased the scope of its local and worldwide distribution networks.
Together, the agreements give travel agencies, resellers, and businesses access to Air India’s seat inventory and prices worldwide.
Air India released a statement stating that it has expanded its partnerships with GDS partners and is now offering New Distribution Capability (NDC) products. These products offer travelers perks including customized pricing, alluring fare combinations, and other ancillaries.
It further stated that the distribution and service of NDC content, in addition to domestic material, are now covered under the agreements with Amadeus and Sabre.
In January of last year, the Tata Group took over the financially struggling Air India, and the airline is currently implementing a turnaround plan.
