According to Dharam Pal, the adviser of Chandigarh, the city has implemented rules aimed at promoting the utilization of environmentally friendly construction materials and energy-efficient technologies in construction endeavors.

In pursuit of the objective to establish Chandigarh as India’s inaugural carbon-neutral city by 2030, the Union Territory administration has initiated numerous endeavors. These initiatives encompass the promotion of clean fuel vehicles, as highlighted by UT adviser Dharam Pal during the concluding event of the ninth “Ins and Outs” exhibition.

Dharam Pal, the adviser of Chandigarh, attended the Ins and Outs exhibition in Chandigarh on Monday.

The exhibition was coordinated by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) in partnership with the Indian Institute of Architects, Fire and Security Association of India, and Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), with the backing of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI).

In the context of the discourse, the adviser made a statement to the audience, asserting that the administration of the University of Texas (UT) was actively advocating for the adoption and advancement of solar energy. Electric vehicles (EVs) are currently being advocated for in this particular context. Several governmental organizations in Chandigarh have already implemented the utilization of solar energy. It is strongly recommended that construction companies prioritize the production of environmentally sustainable and reusable materials.

Chandigarh has implemented rules aimed at promoting the utilization of environmentally friendly construction materials and energy-efficient technologies in construction endeavors. One of our prominent endeavors is the promotion of smart cities and smart homes, which are in complete harmony with the overarching topic of this exposition,” he further stated.
According to Naveen Seth, the Deputy Secretary-General of PHDCCI, the exhibition will be scheduled to take place from September 7 to 10 of the following year, taking into account the positive response and support from the urban population.
