The urgency of the master plan for 93 sites’ eco-tourism activities is emphasized by the HP CM

According to Himachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh, the state’s 22 eco-parks and 72 forest rest lodges both offer ecotourism services. He emphasized the necessity of hastening the master plan in order to carry out ecotourism operations at the 93 suggested sites.

“Eco-tourism is a sustainable kind of travel that encourages the preservation of local culture and natural resources while offering tourists a variety of interesting experiences. The state may highlight its abundant biodiversity, beautiful landscapes, and rich cultural legacy by developing ecotourism. This may draw visitors who are looking for eco-friendly, sustainable vacation options, bringing in money and creating job chances for the local populace, according to the CM.

The chief minister (CM) said eco-tourism will immensely benefit the state as Himachal has enormous potential in this sector and the Forest Department must make sincere efforts to harness the potential to make the most of it. He was speaking late on Monday night during a review meeting of the Forest Department.

Additionally, it will strengthen the state’s economy and provide up job opportunities for young people in the area.

According to Sukhu, a thorough master plan was being created with the intention of extending eco-tourism activities to the suggested sites throughout the State in order to fully exploit the potential of eco-tourism. This strategy probably entails creating infrastructure and assuring tourists’ safety.
