The United States has eliminated all COVID regulations, making it more simpler for citizens of India and other countries to visit the country.

The good news is that from May 12, it will be safer to go to the United States. As of May 12, 2023, all restrictions on international visitors entering the United States due to pandemics will be lifted. As on May 11, overseas passengers flying to the United States will no longer be required to show proof that they have received the COVID-19 vaccine, per an official White House announcement. The United States’ revised policy on visitors from other nations, including India, is now in effect.

Specifically, neither the Indian departure airport nor the United States port of entry requires international travellers, including those from India, to present international travel certificates (proof of vaccinations). Tickets to the United States can be purchased by anybody at this time, even those who are not vaccinated despite the fact that they will be unable to enter the country until November 2021. Those elderly Indians who were unable to visit their family in the United States due to the fact that they could not get vaccinated against COVID-19 may now breathe a sigh of relief.

“It is still recommended that you (if fully vaccinated) carry vaccination proof to avoid any uncertainty while travelling to the United States via a third country,” advised the top travel adviser of Indian Eagle, a trusted air-ticketing partner of the Indian diaspora for over 15 years. Although international travellers from India are not required to show proof of vaccination when transiting the Middle East or Europe.

In light of the removal of the mandated COVID vaccine, you may be asking if you still need to take a pre-departure test. The answer is a resounding “NO,” as the pre-departure COVID testing rule for arriving travellers was eliminated by the US government in June 2022. There is currently no need for this. Three years after the pandemic initially reduced foreign travel, visitors to the United States will have a completely distinct experience due to the absence of compliance with any COVID-related obligation.

It is expected that when the last flying restrictions are removed, international airline tickets to the United States would increase in price. On the evening of May 12, 2023, Indian Eagle will offer discount vouchers for parents travelling to the United States from India.
