Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, has been chosen the most cost-effective capital city in Europe for 2023 according to a recent survey by ABTA, a major organisation of travel agents and tour operators. The annual travel poll examines tourist expenses in 35 European destinations, with Lisbon emerging as the top pick for a cheap city trip.
Athens, Greece, Krakow, Poland, and Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, were in the second, third, and fourth spots on the list, respectively. The rating is determined by examining 12 factors, including city tours, a two-night stay at any 3-star hotel, a romantic dinner for two with wine, and transportation inside the city.
