Speed restrictions on the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express are probable.

Only seven days remain till the start of the Konkan Railway’s monsoon timetable, which may limit the pace of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express train. Running trains in the Konkan region has always been difficult because of the region’s reputation for receiving a lot of rain during the monsoon season.

Trains are operated cautiously at a limited speed while being patrolled by monsoon animals and being watched over by several control rooms to ensure passenger safety.

Starting on June 10, the monsoon timeline, which always begins in early June, will be followed. In addition to speed limits, further precautions are taken during the monsoon such as constant patrolling of susceptible areas and the stationing of watchmen. At important locations, self-recording rain gauges are installed to track local rainfall and notify authorities of significant downpours.

Additionally, anemometers are mounted on bridges to track wind speed, and flood warning systems for bridges alert authorities if water flow exceeds the danger level.

An eight-car train from the Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory has already been sent to Madgaon in Goa in accordance with plans for the Vande Bharat Express. If necessary, the eight-coach train will be changed later. According to the projected non-monsoon schedule, the train would leave CSMT at 5.25 am and arrive in Madgaon at 1.15 pm. At 2.35 pm, the return trip from Madgaon will depart, and it will arrive at CSMT at 10.25 pm.
