Special eye camps were set up by IndiGoReach throughout India

On October 12, 2023, IndiGo, India’s favored airline, observed World Sight Day by holding eye examination clinics for the country’s aviation community. These thorough eye checkup camps were held at more than 50 airports under the auspices of IndiGoReach, the airline’s CSR division, in association with partners including the Airports Authority of India, Adani Airports, and GMR Group, among others. In these camps, eye exams were performed on more over 9500 people, including IndiGo employees, ATC workers, and other participants from airport operating teams.

Famous eye care facilities including the Centre for Sight, Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, The Eye Foundation, ASG Eye Hospital, Vasan Eye Care, and others have partnered with IndiGoReach. The campaign aims to establish a culture of eye health awareness inside the workplace, addressing issues of blindness and visual impairments in keeping with this year’s World Sight Day theme, “Love your eyes at work.” This event was a major step in the right direction for IndiGo, which fully believes that the success of the aviation community is the foundation of the industry.

Beyond its main objective of promoting eye health awareness, this campaign was a targeted effort to comprehend the requirements of people with visual impairments. It underscored the airline’s commitment to fostering a more diverse and inclusive workplace, which IndiGo consistently upholds. IndiGo is still dedicated to fostering a happy, caring, and welcoming environment where everyone’s health comes first.
