On July 7, the PM will formally launch two Vande Bharat trains.

As part of his multi-state tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off two Vande Bharat Express trains on July 7 from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The first train in the state is the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express, which is anticipated to have eight coaches and be the state’s first miniature semi-high-speed train. With a stop at Basti, it will link Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, and Lucknow. In less than four hours, the train is anticipated to travel 302 kilometres via Ayodhya junction.

The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express, the second train, would enhance connectivity between Ahmedabad in Gujarat and Jodhpur in Rajasthan. On its course, it would connect places like Pali, Abu Road, Palanpur, and Mehsana. The 400 mile journey should take the train roughly 6.5 hours. Currently, depending on the train, the trip on this route takes more than 7.5 to 9 hours.

By improving their connectivity, the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will benefit popular tourist destinations including Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, and Sant Kabir Nagar. Similar to this, Rajputana and Ahmedabad will have better connectivity thanks to the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express.

On July 4, the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express underwent a test run. It is anticipated that the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week, excluding Sundays. The cost of each passenger’s ticket for both trains is anticipated to be between 800 and 1600 yen.
