MMT collaborates with stakeholders to provide an integrated offering for Indian students traveling abroad

MakeMyTrip has partnered with important parties as the start of the new academic year approaches, including airlines (for extra baggage and affordable student fares), banks (for exclusive discounts and simple EMI-led solutions), discounted forex cards, and travel accessory companies (so that students can find practical and straightforward travel solutions). Access to this first-of-its-kind offering is available through the flight’s platform funnel.

MakeMyTrip’s Chief Operating Officer for Flights, Vacations, and the Gulf Cooperation Council, Saujanya Shrivastava, stated: “Our aim is to make sure that every travel use case finds a thorough answer on our platform. We are happy that the student population traveling overseas, especially to places like the USA, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, will find this integrated service economical and convenient.

In order to create a comprehensive and affordable student fare and payment plan, the company has teamed up with 9 top airlines, including Air France, Air Mauritius, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, Sri Lankan Airlines, Thai Airways, and Vistara. This ensures a hassle-free and cost-efficient travel experience and includes free baggage allowance.

Students who use American Express, Axis Bank, Citibank, and ICICI debit/credit cards can receive a flat 12% discount on ticket prices up to INR 10,000 as well as interest-free EMI options for 3 and 6 months. Students can also take advantage of free BookMyForex Cards and an extra 1% (approximate) return on foreign currency purchases made during the offer period as part of the programme. To encourage students to travel in style, a 50–70% discount is also included on top brands of travel items.
