Maha-Metro conducts Tryout of Ruby Hall and Ramwadi

From Ruby Hall Clinic Station to Ramwadi Station, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation ran a trial run to evaluate the effectiveness and security of the metro system. For its Metro Line 3 project, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority installed a 19-meter-long beam next to Balewadi stadium.

Pune: On Friday, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) ran a metro trial run between the stations of Ruby Hall Clinic and Ramwadi. The Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi roundtrip test was finished in the evening.

The run evaluated the functionality, security, and operational preparedness of the rails, electrical systems, and signaling.

The Ruby Hall Clinic Station to Ramwadi Station trial run highlights the rigorous planning and interdisciplinary work of our teams, according to Shravan Hardikar, managing director of Maha-Metro. These areas will soon be covered by the metro infrastructure.

Beam 19 meters long installed across tracks next to Balewadi Stadium Metro Station

For its Metro Line 3 project, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) successfully installed the first 19-meter-long beam above the tracks on Friday at the station close to Balewadi stadium using a unique machine called Station Element Gantry (SLG1). The Tathawade casting yard is where the beam was constructed.

“The girder supports the viaduct upon which the rails will be placed,” said Alok Kapoor, chief executive officer of Pune IT City Metro Rail Ltd. A steady pace of progress is being made on the project.
