In Terai, ecotourism is expanding quickly: Yogi

The forest department has made substantial efforts to improve ecotourism opportunities, the chief minister observed, including the creation of 10 wetlands.

While speaking at the ceremony to mark the end of the wildlife week in Pilibhit district on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the Terai region’s significant potential for ecotourism and lay the cornerstone for 26 projects totaling 248 crore.

He mentioned that the forest department has improved eco-tourism potential by making important moves, such as creating 10 wetlands. According to him, ecotourism is expanding quickly from Chuka to Katarniya Ghat, Dudhwa, and Amangarh.

The chief minister addressed the loss of life brought on by such fights by saying, “To address the loss of life caused by such conflicts, the government declared it a disaster, ensuring a compensation of 5 lakh for the affected families.”

The chief minister told the audience that the ecosystems of the water and animals are essential to human existence.

He emphasized that the earth is referred to as mother in Indian philosophy, and all living things are seen as her children.

We all coexist as living things, whether a critter is tamed or wild. Human existence is immediately threatened by any catastrophe impacting animals and the ecology, he said.

In a joint study by international organizations, Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (PTR) received the first global prize, according to chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

In the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, there were originally 25 tigers, but by 2018, there were 65, according to him.

He noted that Uttar Pradesh, which once had 173 tigers, now has more than 205 tigers.
