In order to increase tourism in Varanasi, the state tourist department and the Varanasi Development Authority have signed an MoU to build a “tent city,” provide hot air balloon flights and water sports opportunities, and more. The MoU is anticipated to create job opportunities and draw tourists from outside.
To promote tourism in Varanasi, the state tourism department and Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday.
A “tent city” will be created in the town as part of the MoU, and visitors will be able to take hot air balloon rides and participate in water sports there.

The MoU, according to UP Minister of Tourism and Culture Jaiveer Singh, will also result in job possibilities. “At the moment, Uttar Pradesh is leading the nation in domestic travel. Our goal, he said, is to become the best sport in terms of drawing tourists from abroad.

“Since the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor was built, the city has experienced significant economic and social change. According to him, the state government has plans to build a corridor in Mathura that will be similar to the KV Corridor.

The ability to ride in a hot air balloon had already been made available to tourists in Varanasi on a trial basis, according to Principal Secretary (tourism and culture) Mukesh Kumar Meshram. Preparations are being undertaken to extend the service permanently in light of its popularity… To determine which water activities can be launched in the city, the tourism department is now conducting a poll, he continued.
