“The Trust has been in contact with a huge number of NRIs who want to visit Ayodhya to offer their respects to Lord Ram. According to Champat Rai, general secretary of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust, “We have decided to welcome them after January 26 (2024).
For NRIs from one country, specific dates would be set aside for their visit to Ayodhya. However, the dates will not be chosen by the Trust. We have given NRIs the freedom to choose the dates of their visits, Rai continued.
Rai explained the situation by saying, “NRIs from the US will visit on a particular date and from the UK on a different date.
On November 5, around 150–200 volunteers from the VHP will travel to Ayodhya to collect the sacred grain rice (akshata) that was offered to the deity at the Ram Janmabhoomi for distribution to five lakh villages throughout the state.
At least two volunteers from each of the 45 units (prants) that The Trust has split the nation into will arrive in Ayodhya on November 5, according to Rai.
“Each unit will get a five kilogram bag of sacred grain from the Trust. Volunteers will blend their sacred grain rice with larger quantities in their respective states as needed. It will begin to be delivered on January 1 following Vedic ceremonies, and the campaign will end on January 15,” added Rai.
Prior to the consecration ceremony of the deity scheduled for January of next year, the trust in charge of supervising the construction of the massive Ram temple in Ayodhya has decided to distribute the rice presented to the god at Ram Janmabhoomi to 500,000 villages all throughout the nation.
