Piyush Goyal, the minister of commerce and industry for the Union, has advocated for boosting cooperation between India and LAC nations in sectors like tourism, hospitality, and encouraging capital inflows.

Belize, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Brazil, El Salvador, Panama, Chile, Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica, Guyana, and Suriname are among the countries in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region.

He claimed that both regions provide great potential for increasing commerce and investment.

Goyal added that collaboration between India and the LAC nations is necessary to strengthen their collective voice in international fora.

He said India can make significant contributions in industries like healthcare and hospitality while speaking at the CII India-Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) Region Conclave.
