The famous Meenmutty waterfalls have a magnificent atmosphere because to the foamy water that cascades down the enormous boulders. The Kummil panchayat, where Meenmutty is located, quickly became a favourite tourist destination as the volume of the water fall increased over the monsoon season.

Every day, a large number of people come here to appreciate the waterfall that separates the districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.

You could only observe this peaceful scene of water falling from Ponmudi, a golden peak in the Western Ghats, after taking a long walk through tropical forest. On the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in the Kallar hamlet, the hike to the falls begins downstream.
It is a wonderful experience to walk through the route leading to the falls, which is surrounded by enormous trees whose looping branches and roots create a green canopy on their own.

Meenmutty never fails to take your breath away, even though it often does not provide you with a magnificent waterfall like the one in Athirappilly in the Thrissur area. Although it is prohibited for visitors to come too close to the falls, you may still admire their splendor from a safe distance.

For the tourists’ convenience, amenities like rest places have been set up. There were many people swimming in the chilly waves. It’s interesting to note that Sree Narayana Guru visited a temple adjacent to the waterfall.

During Karkidaka Vavu, hundreds of devotees come to the temple to offer respect to their ancestors. Meenmutty waterfall is accessible by the MC Road’s Kallara and Kadakkal paths from Kilimanoor to Kuravamkuzhi.
