The number of Indians planning to visit Saudi Arabia has increased.

Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in the number of Indians booking trips to Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has lately launched advertising efforts in an effort to attract 2 million visitors from India by the end of this year, and this has resulted in a surge of tourists flocking to the country.

The previous two years have seen a significant increase in the number of tourists visiting Saudi Arabia from India. The Saudi Tourism Authority envisions it becoming the world’s largest in the near future. The STA held numerous events across the country in the month of February, showcasing the Kingdom’s historic landmarks and cutting-edge initiatives. To tap into a sizable sports audience for marketing purposes, it has secured a cooperation pact with the Indian Premier League, the most watched T20 cricket franchise in the world.

MakeMyTrip, India’s most popular online travel agency, reports that their efforts have paid off.

According to Raj Rishi Singh, the company’s chief business officer, the search indices for Saudi Arabia indicate an upward trend during the first quarter of 2023, with results increasing by 20% sequentially from October to December 2022. It appears that recent efforts are beginning to bear fruit.

More visitors to Saudi Arabia came from major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, and Bangalore. The three most popular cities in the Kingdom are Dammam, Jeddah, and Riyadh.
