Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, gave the transportation officials instructions to create a detailed layout of the plan and carry out a survey throughout the state to determine potential routes.
Punjab’s chief minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday gave instructions to the transport department officials to develop a strategy and carry out a survey to ensure the project’s successful implementation. The goal of the initiative is to reinstate minibus service in rural parts of Punjab.
The CM said the Punjab government has decided to resume the minibus service in rural regions to help people and to offer jobs for youngsters by granting them permits for operating buses while presiding over a high-level meeting with transport authorities at his office today.
Mann instructed the transportation authorities to create a detailed layout of the plan and carry out a survey around the state to determine potential routes.
The CM also examined the potential of a special bus service to religious locations to aid pilgrims during the meeting. He claimed that many devotees travel to Punjab for pilgrimage but encounter challenges because there are inadequate transportation options.
