The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Mumbai collaborated with Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road to present the Thai Food Festival in an effort to enhance Thailand’s reputation as a top-tier culinary tourism destination and raise awareness of its culinary diversity.
The event, which began on June 9 and is scheduled to end on June 18, 2023 in The Square, is in line with TAT’s vision of “Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters,” which seeks to inspire visitors from around the world to find meaningful travel experiences in Thailand.
The Royal Thai Consulate in Chennai, H.E. Mr. Nitirooge Phoneprasert, and the Thai Trade Centre in Mumbai, Supatra Sawaengsri, inaugurated the Thai Food Festival, which was organized by Master Chef Patharawut Mungjit, Executive Chef, Novotel Chiang Mai Nimman Jurneyhub, Thailand.
Guests were invited to partake in an extraordinary culinary experience and experience’s the Thailand’s colourful and rich flavours at the event.
“I am thrilled to be going to India and introducing the people to my love of Thai food. I firmly think that food has the power to unite people, and I’m hoping that my cooking will do the same for our two cultures. At the festival, chef Patharawut Mungjit shared.
Various mouthwatering Thai dishes, including Banana bud fritters, Shrimp cake, Phad Thai, Lamb Massamun curry, Chicken Green curry, Kaeng Hang-lay, Banana in coconut milk and Mango & sticky rice, to name a few, were served to the guests. Each was expertly prepared to highlight the distinctive ingredients and methods that define Thai cuisine.
