The Rajasthani government is striving to put into place a system that will let visitors use a single smart card to access many monuments and transportation hubs. The plan calls for the Department of Information Technology to create a portal, with the Department of Tourism serving as the nodal organisation and the Transport Department taking part as well. At first, visitors will be able to access several monuments with a single rechargeable smart card.

The smart card will make it unnecessary for visitors to buy tickets at each landmark, making it more convenient for them. The card will be accepted at all state-protected monuments, and integration with road services will also be put into place. The business will initially offer ultra-luxury buses for interstate travel. The smart cards’ validity will be created to help with crowd control at monuments.

The service will be expanded to include exclusive museums or monuments based on how the system performs. With this approach, time and resources will be saved by doing away with the need to wait in lines to buy tickets. Once it is successfully deployed on a smaller scale, the system has the potential to integrate more tourist services such lodging in hotels owned by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC), private hotels and resorts, and taxi services.

Positive opinions on the planned method have been given by industry experts and tour guides. They think it will vastly enhance travellers’ experiences and have a favourable impact on the state’s tourism sector. In addition to its forts, palaces, animals, lakes, and religious monuments, Rajasthan is a well-liked tourist destination. The state welcomed 1087.5 lakh tourists in 2022, including travellers from the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Australia.
