In order to enable card payments by tourists, Bandhan Bank and the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation have teamed to offer Point of Sale (PoS) machines for the latter. This partnership will cover prime locations such as Puri, Bhubaneshwar, Konark, Chilka, and Gopalpur.

The PoS devices will simplify the collecting of tourist payments. Visitors can use the device to pay with debit or credit cards. The bank also has plans to make UPI services available soon.

In response to this, Shantanu Sengupta, Head of Retail Banking at Bandhan Bank, stated: “Over the years, Odisha has been a significant market for Bandhan Bank. We are pleased to collaborate with the government of Odisha to offer easy payment options to the state’s visitors. This initiative is another step towards our goal of being a bank for everyone, which is something we are committed to at Bandhan Bank.
