MSRTC bus services in Pune are still being affected by the Maratha quota controversy on day two.

No bus left the Pune ST depots on Monday towards Ahmednagar, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar, or Jalna because the head office did not provide us with any clear instructions, according to the official
Even on Monday, there were still delays in the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus services from the Pune area to Ahmednagar, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Jalna.

MSRTC divisional controller for Pune, Kailash Patil, stated that no buses left from Pune ST depots on Monday for Ahmednagar, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar, or Jalna since the head office had not provided us with any clear instructions. Bus services will resume as soon as things return to normal.

The MSRTC has cancelled a number of ST buses that were scheduled to go on various routes in Marathwada because ST buses are frequently vandalized and targeted by crowds. There are a lot of buses parked at ST depots in Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, and other areas that are headed to Chatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Jalna, Latur, and Ahmednagar.

Opposition from political parties

Workers from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), and the Congress protested the Maharashtra government’s use of lathi-harge on Maratha workers in Jalna on Monday.
