Yesterday, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, visited the venerated shrine of Hazratbal in Srinagar and advocated for “shrine tourism” in Kashmir. He stated that Eid al-Adha is a celebration of peace and unity.
Sinha stated that administration officials are present and provisions have been made for the approaching Eid holiday.
People can visit venerated shrines such as Hazratbal, Charar-e-Sharief, and dozens of other shrines in the Valley in the same manner that they visit the Amarnath Yatra from across India.
“Shrine tourism can entice visitors from across the nation. Regarding this matter, I welcome feedback from the general public, the Waqf Board, and anyone else. You can speak to me, and I can also visit you,” he said.
