IRCTC Introduces Tours to Sri Lanka and Nepal

Tours to Nepal and Sri Lanka have started through the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

On August 21, 2023, IRCTC is offering a flight from Delhi to Kathmandu. Pashupati Nath Temple, Patan, the Tibet Refugee Camp, and other attractions may be seen in Kathmandu, whereas Manokamna Temple can be seen in Pokhara.

There will be plans made for a stay at a three-star hotel with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. IRCTC will provide an AC deluxe bus and bilingual Hindi and English-speaking tour guides for the duration of the six-day, five-night trip.

The cost for an individual to take this journey alone is INR 48,000. According to Arun Kumar Das for Swarajya, there would be a cost of INR 38,900 per person for two persons and INR 38,000 per person for three people.

The second offer from IRCTC is made to Sri Lanka via a Sri Ramayana Yatra, emphasising the significance of the Ramayana.

IRCTC has provided a fantastic package for the Ramayana Yatra, which will depart from Delhi on September 12, 2023, according to a senior IRCTC executive who also said, “We get a beautiful description of Lord Rama’s journey from exile to Ravana’s slaughter.”

Travellers who purchase this package will have the opportunity to visit Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and other important Sri Lankan locations connected to the Ramayana era.

The Railways PSU said, “If one wants to visit these important Sri Lankan locations connected to Lord Rama, one should not miss this IRCTC tour package.”

The Sri Ramayana Yatra-Sri Lanka tour will go for six days and five nights. The tour will take you to Negombo, Nuwara Eliya, Colombo, Kandy, etc. after departing from Delhi.

According to IRCTC, one need not be concerned about their diet while on this tour. The package includes complete arrangements for food and drink, lodging in a 3-star hotel, all types of fees, an insurance facility, a tour manager, etc.

The cost to reserve a spot on the Sri Lanka tour is INR 57,000 per person (based on sharing).

For both types of excursions, IRCTC has partnered with payment gateway companies Paytm and Razorpay to make it easier to book trips using debit or credit cards in manageable payments.
