Indian Overnights By GNTO Witness 209% YoY Growth In 2022

According to data from the German National Tourist Board, the number of Indian tourists staying overnight in Germany increased by 209% in 2022 compared to the previous year.

To promote Germany as a must-visit country, the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) and German Embassy in India spoke to the media.  pIndians stay in Germany for a total of 623,363 nights in 2022 (compared to 201,194 in 2021). The record number of 961,656 set in 2019 has not yet been attained. “However, we have already surpassed 65% of 2019’s level, providing room for further expansion as Indians start to travel again.
