The Majiwada junction, where the Eastern Express Highway, Ghodbunder Road, and Mumbai-Nasik Road meet, had severe traffic bottlenecks all day long as a result of the renovations. During the evening rush hour, the traffic backups grew worse.
Thane: Due to the lack of available transportation choices, Thaneites who use the Majiwada junction and Ghodbunder Road for their daily commute in the morning and evening would have to prepare for hours of intense traffic jams, pay higher autorickshaw and cab fees, and even walk to their houses.

This is a result of the Saket Bridge’s need for repair after a significant crack appeared in one of its joints. The Thane Creek Bridge serves as a key link between Thane and Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bhiwandi, and Nashik.

Dada Bhuse, the public works minister, was supposed to see the bridge on Thursday morning but changed his plans at the last minute and went to Navi Mumbai to check out the Vashi Creek bridge. The joint repairs were started on a war footing by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation and are anticipated to take several days. Due to the heavy traffic caused by permitting vehicles to travel in a single lane, one section of the Mumbai-Nashik highway has been partially closed.
