Two Ro-Ro (Roll-on Roll-off) ships will be launched by Bihar on the Ganges. The ship in Patna will start running in a week, while the one in Bhagalpur is awaiting authorization.

The new Ro-Ro vessel service will travel the Digha Ghat-JP Ganga Path route. This is done to promote river tourism and give residents and guests the chance to both enjoy the Ganga River’s beauty and the area’s unique biodiversity.

The ship can accommodate 300 guests at once and travels four to five times daily. Those who want to experience river cruising can now take advantage of this service by renting the entire ship for special parties.

The Ro-Ro vessel may operate from a jetty as well. the purchase of the MV Ganga Vihar in Patna, which has been transporting passengers since February 2023 for roughly INR 300 each.
