  • Tourists flock to Munnar's Erachilpara waterfalls to experience the'monsoon special' falls.

Every year, the monsoon brings a scattering of seasonal visitors to Munnar: waterfalls. As it begins to rain, a number of beautiful waterfalls emerge out of nowhere in the hilly terrain of the tourist destination. The Erachilpara waterfalls near Kanthalloor, which appear in the gorgeous woods of Iravikulam National Park in Rajamala, are anticipated by nature lovers.

This year’s monsoon arrived late, but after a few recent rains, the Erachilpara is flowing in its full glory, and travellers are flocking to the area. The one-thousand-foot-tall waterfall is located on the path from the Anjam mile entrance location to Rajamala. The water from the Chinnanamudi hills, which are located in the foothills of the 8842-foot-high Anamudi ranges, meanders through the enormous boulders before plunging over the waterfall.

Interestingly, the biggest waterfall in Munnar is Erachilpara. Lakkam, Nayamakad, Aattukad, Periya Canal, and Viripara are some of the waterfalls that can be found in the scenic location. The vehicles of the forest department that transport visitors into the national park frequently halt here so that visitors can get a close look at this waterfall. As soon as the monsoon concludes, the waterfall will evaporate.
