On June 14, the Mumbai traffic police observed “No Honking Day”.
Unnecessary honking damages people’s health and contributes to noise pollution. As a result, the traffic police will mark “No Honking Day” on June 14, a spokesperson stated.
On Thursday, the Mumbai Traffic Police said that 2,116 drivers had been arrested for excessive honking in the city.
