On November 3, 2023, Skal International Mumbai 144 had its pre-Diwali celebration at the Sofitel Mumbai BKC. Notable attendees from the industry as well as members and their wives made the occasion memorable. Skal International Mumbai President Sk. Burjis Mehta was proud to highlight that Skal 144 had accomplished a great deal on that day and that its members were continuously receiving well-earned praise from Skal International.

It is noteworthy to state here that at the just finished Skål International World Congress 2023 and General Assembly in Málaga, Spain, Sk. Sunil VA and Sk. Partha Chatterjee (posthumously) were awarded the esteemed title of Membre d’Honneur. In addition, Skallegue of the Year for 2022 and the Skal Order of Merit (2021) were given to Sk. Carl Vaz, President of Skal International India. “I am proud of Skal 144 because Skal International has consistently given our members the recognition they deserve,” Mehta remarked.

The honoree, Pandurang Taware, who has won numerous national and international awards, gave a speech on rural and agritourism, a field in which he advises the government.

The Managing Committee honored Lubaina Sheerazi, the founder of BrandIT, a marketing and representation company, for her support of Skal Mumbai 144.

A networking cocktail dinner and numerous giveaway prizes marked the conclusion of the meeting.
