  • Lounge Access is Expanded Across Air India's Domestic & International

As part of its ongoing efforts to improve the travel experience for its premium customers, Air India has expanded and improved its network of lounges throughout airports in India and at all international destinations.

Since beginning its extensive, five-year transformation plan, Vihaan.AI, Air India has partnered with airport lounges in Dibrugarh, Indore, Jammu, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Nagpur, Patna, Srinagar, and Vadodara, bringing the number of Indian airports where passengers can access lounges from 16 to 26.

Additionally, Air India has partnered with the greatest food courts in 11 airports where there are no lounges. All told, lounges or food courts are now available to Air India’s premium passengers at 37 airports across India.

Achieving 100% lounge access coverage for premium clients at all 41 destinations in its international route network, Air India has improved its lounge service outside of the country by collaborating with the best lounges at various airports.

As of right moment, the airline has added lounges in Chicago (Swissport Lounge), New York City’s Newark Liberty International Airport (SAS Lounge), and Tokyo Narita (Japan Airlines’ Sakura Lounge). It has been relocated to the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge and the Balaka Executive Lounge, respectively, at the airports of Bangkok and Dhaka.

At the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, respectively, Air India has its own, unique lounges.

The lounge services are accessible to passengers travelling First or Business Class, as well as to qualifying travelling Returns members of Air India and those of other Star Alliance member airlines.

The development of our lounge network is a crucial step in our continued efforts to improve premium services as a full-service carrier and, in doing so, foster stronger passenger loyalty, according to Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience & Ground Handling Officer, Air India. We’re delighted to be able to provide this experience at almost all of the airports we manage both in India and internationally. Additionally, we will be improving our distinctive lounge experiences during the upcoming significant modernization projects at the airports in Delhi and New York.
