The Navi Mumbai International Airport is on schedule, according to Chairman Gautam Adani during the Adani Group’s annual general meeting (AGM). According to Adani, the airport is getting ready for a transition and operational preparedness by December 2024.
In place of Mumbai’s congested Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the Navi Mumbai International Airport is being built. It is expected to cost about Rs 16,700 crore and be situated in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
The airport will be built on a land area of more than 1,160 acres in four phases, with the first two phases expected to be finished by December 2024. The lotus, India’s national flower, served as inspiration for the architecture of the Navi Mumbai airport. The Adani Group and the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) are partners on the project.
