‘ATOAI seminar and adventure tourism roadshow’ was held yesterday in Mumbai by the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), with 13 exhibitors. This was the first of a line up of events that would be held all throughout India. The Union Ministry of Tourism provided support for the occasion.

In order to provide members from around India with a chance to engage, acquire insight into the best practises, guidelines, and procedures for adventure tourism, and share knowledge, the event was divided into panel discussions, expert lectures, and B2B meetings. The qualification in first aid, adventure insurance, responsible tourism, outdoor activities during school tours, and the technical expertise of extreme adventure gears were all topics of discussion.

Roadshows will be held in Hyderabad, New Delhi, Siliguri, and Pasighat during the next cycle.

The opportunity to explore the possibilities for adventure tourism in Maharashtra in general and India in particular was welcomed by Ajeet Bajaj, President of ATOAI. “These events will provide our members with networking opportunities and shine a spotlight on the wide range of adventure activity options and their application in India.”
