30 May (ANI), Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir), India: Officials reported on Tuesday morning that a bus carrying passengers slid into a steep chasm on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, causing at least seven deaths and numerous injuries.

The event occurred near Jhajjar Kotli, which is around 15 kilometres from Katra in the Jammu district, while the bus was travelling from Amritsar to Katra, according to officials.
“There are 7 fatalities and 4 serious injuries. The bus, which was travelling from Amritsar to Katra, crashed into a narrow canyon close to Jhajjar Kotli, according to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu Avny Lavasa, who spoke to ANI.

“Those injured gravely have been transported to GMC Jammu. “Local Public Health Centre has admitted 12 more people,” he continued.
