SpiceJet has temporarily suspended some Puducherry-bound flights to Hyderabad and Bengaluru until July 2 in order to facilitate special carriers for Haj pilgrims. On July 3, service will recommence on these routes.
SpiceJet operates special flights to Jeddah by removing competitors from certain crowded itineraries. According to sources, the Q400 Bombardier aircraft that operate on the route Hyderabad-Puducherry-Bangalore have been diverted.
Although operations will recommence on July 3, it will be temporarily suspended again in August, when special flights will return pilgrims from Jeddah, according to sources.
