To guarantee that flight schedules are established well in advance, the airlines and other stakeholders have been notified six months in advance. A representative for the airport added, “CSMIA ensures to maintain the highest standard of air travel safety and security.
Mumbai: The Mumbai airport stated on Friday that both of its runways will be out of commission on October 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for post-monsoon repair work.
It will take six hours for the runways 9/27 and 14/32 to temporarily cease operation.
The major goal of this planned temporary closure is to carry out maintenance and repair tasks necessary to maintain the airport’s infrastructure. Incorporating a passenger-first approach at the core of our operations is embodied in this yearly practice of runway maintenance following the monsoons, according to the spokesperson. This practice is one of a number of tasks carried out with accuracy and care to ensure operational continuity and passenger safety.
