Beginning on August 1, 2023, Russians will be able to apply for an electronic visa, making the process quick and convenient for citizens of India. The visa would permit entry into the Russian Federation as a visitor, businessperson, tourist, and to attend events. A single-entry visa would only be valid for four calendar days and cost around USD 40 at the consulate.

“This is a fantastic initiative to encourage travel and ensure hassle-free visas for visitors without a lot of paperwork. Russia is now more accessible than ever thanks to e-Visa and Aeroflot Airlines’ direct flights from Delhi to Moscow. According to Prashant Chaudhary, Managing Director of Salvia Promoters Pvt. Ltd. and a representative of the Russian Union of the Travel Industry in India, the e-Visa would be valid for 60 days and allow travellers to stay in Russia for a maximum of 16 days.
