In the coming three to four years, India’s commercial fleet and airport capacity in major cities are expected to treble, according to Jyotiraditya Scindia.
“In India, we will reach a point when our fleet capacity will increase from the current 720 to roughly 1,500 aircraft in the next three to four years. If you look at our metro capacities today, which are at around 221 million passengers, that will increase to nearly 400 million passengers at some point in the not-too-distant future in India, he predicted.
At the opening of a fourth runway and an elevated taxiway at the Delhi airport, Scindia gave a speech.
