The AIIMS administration in this location has established a committee to assist its staff in efficiently managing their airline tickets and other travel needs for official business and LTC. According to a memorandum released by AIIMS Director Dr. M. Srinivas on Friday, the three-member committee will float an expression of interest (EOI) within the Balmer Lawrie and Company Limited (BLCL), Ashok Travels and Tours (ATT), and the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) to engage one of them as the official travel agent for AIIMS, New Delhi, by June 30.

In order to simplify the buying of all plane tickets for which payment is to be made by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the official travel agency for the prestigious medical institute should be expected to run a 24-hour travel desk at its facilities.   Additionally, the travel desk will have a 24-hour helpline and email address.

The memorandum stated that once the travel desk is functioning, no employee of AIIMS New Delhi will be eligible for an air fare reimbursement.
