The nation’s fastest-growing airline, Akasa Air, has expanded its network nationwide in an effort to provide travellers with seamless connectivity at reasonable rates. The airline has added a number of new routes and expanded frequencies from popular metro and non-metro destinations, driven by the explosive development in demand for air travel.
Akasa Air now connects Mumbai with 12 domestic locations, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Lucknow, Goa, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Kochi, and Guwahati, with 200 weekly flights. Furthermore, the number of flights from the city to a number of well-known locations, including Delhi, Goa, and Bengaluru, has increased, reaching 3X, 4X, and 8X the average daily flights, respectively. With the addition of direct flights to Delhi and Goa, the airline has improved connectivity from Pune, increasing the number of weekly departures from the city to 47 flights, linking a total of 4 internal destinations, including Bengaluru, Delhi, Bhubaneshwar, and Goa.
The airline will begin offering daily direct flights between Mumbai and Kolkata, connecting Kolkata with 21 flights per week to a total of three destinations: Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Guwahati. The airline has also increased the number of daily flights between Delhi and Ahmedabad from one to two.
Akasa Air has had extraordinary growth over the last 11 months and is making steady progress towards its goal of improving the nation’s transport system by building a strong network connecting metro areas with tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Ample legroom and USB outlets are found on most Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, allowing passengers to charge their devices while in flight. Over 60 food options, including healthy meals, festive favourites, gourmet and fusion dishes, are available on the completely updated Café Akasa menu. This menu was meticulously crafted by famous chefs from throughout India and offers a luxurious dining experience in the air. Customers can fly with their pets on Akasa either in the cabin or in cargo, depending on the size of the animal. Akasa Air has made its safety instruction card available in Braille for people with visual impairment in an effort to make travel inclusive.
With an announced network of 35 unique routes connecting 16 cities, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, and Kolkata, Akasa Air has carried more than 3.5 million revenue passengers since its launch in August 2022.
