Due to aircraft cancellations by Go First, travellers have been forced to reschedule their trips, driving up last-minute rates by as much as five times on some metro lines.
Wadia Group-backed airline Go First filed for insolvency on May 2, suspending all flight operations. Flights were cancelled through May 12 and new bookings were suspended through May 15.
Go First, which had a 6.9% share of India’s domestic aviation industry as of March, suspended operations, potentially leaving nearly 900,000 passengers unable to reach their destinations because of the disruption.
