  • The "Heritage Hotels project" tender procedure has been extended by ten days - Starfish Travel Corporation

Heritage aficionados will need to wait longer to appreciate the magnificence of these ancient monuments due to the 10-day prolongation of the tender process.

GOLDNOW There has been a 10-day delay in the much awaited admittance of the common man as a valued hotel guest into some of Lucknow’s magnificent heritage buildings from the Nawab era. Lack of interest from businesses in the four attractive constructions up for tender—Chattar Manzil, Roshan-Uddaula Kothi, Kothi Gulistan-e-Iram, and Kothi Darshan Vilas—is the cause of this delay.

Heritage aficionados will need to wait longer to appreciate the magnificence of these ancient monuments due to the 10-day prolongation of the tender process. The postponement also impacts Shukla Talab in Kanpur Dehat, Tikait Rai Baradari in Kanpur city, Barua Sagar Fort in Jhansi, Barsana Jal Mahal in Mathura, and Chunar Fort in Mirzapur. These locations were all included in a tender to be transformed into magnificent five-star heritage hotels while preserving their original architecture and façade.

The lack of participation in the tender process does not signify a lack of interest in these invaluable heritage sites,” stated a representative from the state’s tourist agency. Many prospective bidders’ lack of knowledge with the complexities of tender filing is the main cause of the low attendance. Unlocking Uttar Pradesh’s tourist potential is considered contingent upon this project, which aims to revitalize tourism in the state capital and throughout the region.

Reputable hotel chains in the nation, including Oberois, Nirvana Hotels, MRS Group, Leela Group, Mahindra Group, and Ramada Group, have already stated that they would be very interested in overseeing these special state-owned heritage sites. But these big businesses have found the tender process to be too complicated, which has led to the requirement for a ten-day extension.

The state’s tourist department is still dedicated to this tender procedure since it understands the many benefits that come with turning historic structures into hotels. This program is anticipated to generate significant cash for the state treasury, revitalize the tourism industry, and promote a wide range of goods and services. It is also anticipated to generate direct and indirect employment possibilities through tourism-related activities.
