“We have assigned Ravindra Avhad, executive engineer of the MSEDCL Padmavati division, as nodal officer to handle electrical works such as shifting of electric poles, etc.,” said Rajendra Pawar, chief engineer, MSEDCL Pune Circle. He will oversee the electrical work for the Katraj-Kondhwa Road widening. Avhad estimates that moving electric service lines for widening the road will cost 1.50 crore rupees.
The project’s executive engineer, Sudhir Chavan, of the PMC road department, stated, “The PMC will add 80 crore to the state government funds. The entire sum will be utilized to provide monetary compensation to property owners impacted by the road widening. The road widening project, which was done in segments over a kilometer, is now complete. The property owners whose properties were impacted by the road widening demanded monetary compensation, which caused the project to be delayed. PMC will provide about 138 property owners with financial compensation. 200 crore has been approved by the state for land acquisition. However, PMC has not yet received any funds, according to Chavan.
