The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and Akasa Air, the most dependable airline in India, collaborated to celebrate Aviation Security Culture Week, which will take place from July 31 to August 5 in 2023. This commemorative programme aims to increase security awareness and develop a positive security culture in aviation operations across the nation in accordance with ICAO criteria.
With a focus on the idea that security is everyone’s responsibility, the programme aims to persuade the sector to promote security habits and practises. The event’s slogan, “See it, Say it, Secure it,” exhorts participants to be aware of their surroundings and to report any questionable activity.
In order to actively support and participate in this endeavour, Akasa Air is launching a broad awareness-raising campaign to promote security during the workweek. Together, the Akasa Air leadership team and all of the company’s workers will announce and support this initiative.
In order to raise awareness among both staff members across the Akasa network, a number of activities have been planned, including pledge-taking ceremonies at offices and stations, on-the-ground awareness campaigns, digital amplification, and master workshops. To maintain and encourage a strong security culture among customers, the airline will also issue specific announcements at the boarding gate and during flight.
Vinay Dube, the founder and CEO of Akasa Air, supported the campaign to promote an aviation security culture. He said, “Today, it is ever-important for us to increase awareness about the importance of safety and security amongst our staff and passengers. At Akasa Air, the welfare of our staff and customers is our first priority and the cornerstone of everything we do. We applaud the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security for taking the initiative to put together this commemorative week, and our enthusiastic participation is proof of our dedication to being the safest and most reliable airline in India.
With an announced network of 35 unique routes connecting 16 cities, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, and Kolkata, Akasa Air has carried more than 4 million revenue passengers since its launch in August 2022.
